Court Duty privacy notice

Effective from: 14 October 2026

In one minute

  • Looking for a job? You never need an account. We only hold what you type into a form.
  • When you apply on our page, your application goes to that one club, on a private page only that club has.
  • Two kinds of CV, two rules. A CV you send with an application is kept for that club until 14 days after the job closes, then deleted. A CV you give "Match me" is read once by an AI model and not kept at all.
  • We save a profile only if you ask, by giving your email and ticking the box. No club sees it, and you can change or delete it yourself on a private page.
  • No cookies and no advertising trackers. We count visits in totals only, with nothing that identifies you.
  • Our public pages are open to search engines and AI companies. Those pages show jobs and numbers. Your application, your profile and your email are never on a public page.
  • We delete applications and their CVs 14 days after the job closes, saved profiles 12 months after your last save, or any of it within 2 working days if you ask.
  • To see, correct or delete your data, write to holacourtduty@gmail.com.

1. Who we are

Court Duty is a job board for padel, pickleball and tennis clubs, at https://courtduty.com.

Court Duty is an independent project run by its founder. It is not yet a registered company. In data protection law the founder is the "controller": the person who decides how your data is used and answers for it.

  • Contact for anything about your data: holacourtduty@gmail.com
  • Data protection officer: none is appointed.
  • Representative in the EU: none is appointed.
  • Representative in the UK: none is appointed.

We publish jobs and pass on applications. We are not a recruitment agency and take no part in any hire.

2. What we collect, and why

We collect only what you give us in a form, plus a little technical data that arrives with any web request. We do not buy data about people and we do not build profiles from other websites.

2.1 If you apply to a job through Court Duty ("Apply here")

Some jobs let you apply on our page. Your application then goes to that club's private page on Court Duty (its "panel"), which only that club can open.

WhatWhy
Your name, and your email or WhatsApp number (one is needed, both are allowed)So the club can contact you
A short note to the club (optional, up to 300 characters) and your answer on whether you can work in that country ("Yes", "Need a visa", "Not sure")So the club can decide whether to contact you
Your CV, if you add one (PDF or Word, up to 6 MB)So the club can read it. We keep it for that club until the deletion date below
The two boxes you ticked, with the wording, the time and the languageTo show what you agreed to
The job, the date and time, the country your connection came from (two letters) and the tags of the link that brought you, if it had them (its source, for example "instagram"; the kind of link, for example "story"; sometimes which post or job)To count applications by job, country and channel. The tags describe the link, not you. We do not store your IP address

The two boxes:

  1. "Send my application to (club)." Required. Without it nothing is saved.
  2. "(Club) may message me on WhatsApp about this job." Optional, never ticked for you, shown only if you give a WhatsApp number. The club sees your WhatsApp number only if you tick it, and only for that job.

Who sees your application. Only the club that posted the job, on its private panel. The panel is not public, is never shown to search engines, and is opened with a private link we give the club. The club can download your CV, mark your application as seen, shortlisted or "no" for itself, and contact you. Those marks are private to the club: we never tell you, or anyone else, how a club marked you, and we never send a rejection. No AI reads the CV you send with an application.

Where your CV is kept. In private storage on Cloudflare (a private key-value store), never public, only handed out through the club's panel as a download.

How long. Your application and its CV are deleted 14 days after the job closes (a job is open for 30 days at most). Only a count of applications stays, with nothing about you. Ask us and we delete them sooner, within 2 working days. A copy the club already downloaded is the club's own, and our deletion does not reach it: you can ask the club directly, and when you ask us we tell the club you withdrew.

After you apply you see a "Notify me" box. Ticking it is a separate choice (2.2).

A CV you send with an application is not the same as a CV you give "Match me". The first is kept for the club until the date above. The second is read once and never kept (2.3).

Many jobs on Court Duty have no form on our site: the button takes you to the employer's own page, opens a WhatsApp chat with the club, or opens your own email program addressed to the club. In those cases what you send goes straight to the club, and we only count the click (2.7).

2.2 If you press "Notify me" (on a job, a list of jobs, an empty search or the jobs of the day)

WhatWhy
Your email addressTo email you similar jobs
The sport, kind of role and country of the job or list you were looking at, and the language of the pageTo know what "similar" means for you
The country your connection came from, and the source tag of the link that brought you, if it had oneTo count sign-ups by country and channel

You tick a box that reads "Email me jobs like this, at most once a week. I can stop at any time." It is never ticked for you. We keep which wording you agreed to, when, on which page and in which language. Every email has a link that stops them with one click. If the address already has a saved profile (2.3), we add what you were looking at to that profile instead of keeping a second record.

2.3 If you use "Match me"

WhatWhy
Your answers: sports, kinds of job, countries, contract typeTo pick the open jobs that fit you
Your CV file (optional; PDF or Word, up to 6 MB)An AI model reads it once to extract a few facts. See section 6
The facts extracted: a one-line description without your name, sports, roles, years of experience, languages, certifications, country, and whether you seem open to movingTo improve the list and show you why each job fits

If you only look at your matches, we save nothing. Your answers and the extracted facts are used to build the page you see. The facts are sent back to your browser and stay in that browser tab until you close it, so the file never has to be sent twice.

If you press "Save my profile", we keep your email, your answers and the extracted facts as a profile, plus the country your connection came from and the tags of the link that brought you (2.1). You may also add, all optional: your first name (to greet you in our emails), your WhatsApp number, whether you are open to moving abroad, and whether you are available now or in a month (to pick jobs that fit). The box reads "Email me new jobs that fit." It is never ticked for you, and we keep which wording you agreed to, when, on which page and in which language. We do not keep the CV file or its text.

Your WhatsApp number stays with your profile. We do not send you WhatsApp messages and no club sees it; if we ever want to use it, we will ask you first. (A WhatsApp number you type into an application is different: see 2.1.)

Your private profile page. When you save, you get a private address (/profile/…) that only you have. There you can change these facts, pause the emails and start them again, or delete the profile. Deleting there is immediate.

No club sees your profile. We do not show saved profiles to clubs or to anyone else. There is no setting that does.

2.4 If you joined the list before launch

Your name, email, where you would work (or where your club is), sports, what you do (or who you need), a CV or LinkedIn link if you gave one, WhatsApp if you gave one, your language, the country your connection came from. We use it to tell you when Court Duty opens and to send you jobs or candidates that fit. That form is no longer on the site. Sign-ups made before 14 October 2026 also carry your browser's description of itself (the "user agent" text); we no longer collect it.

2.5 If you post a job for a club

WhatWhy
Club name, job title, sport, city, country, pay, contract type, the club's website and the advert textTo publish the job. We keep your advert text with the job; an AI model reads it to write the summary on the page (section 6), and if the summary cannot be made the page shows your own text
The email address applications should go toTo deliver applications. It is kept with that job. It is shown on the job page only if you tick the box to show it, which the form asks for while our own email is switched off and you choose to be reached by email; otherwise it is never shown
Your own link to apply, or a WhatsApp number for candidates to write to, if you prefer either to emailThe apply button goes to your link, or opens a WhatsApp chat with that number, through our click counter (2.7). A WhatsApp number you give for this is shown to candidates as a WhatsApp link
The plan you chose and the payment reference from StripeTo put the job live when payment completes, and to keep our accounts

"Have an advert already?" If you paste or upload an advert on Post a job, an AI model reads it once to fill the form; the file is not kept. Neither the pasted text, nor the PDF, nor what the model answers is stored: it only fills the boxes on your screen, and you check and change them before saving. To stop the tool being misused we allow 10 tries a day from one internet address. For that we keep, for that day only, a count of tries under a scrambled code (a "hash") made from the date, your internet address and a secret; the code cannot be turned back into the address or matched across days, and it is deleted in the nightly clean-up after the day ends. Each try also leaves one row with its outcome (filled, failed, AI unavailable or limit reached), how many boxes were filled, whether it was pasted text or a PDF, and the page language. That row holds no content and nothing about you.

You pay by card on a page run by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us only that the payment succeeded, with a reference.

A job that is saved and never paid for is deleted after 30 days, with the address you typed.

2.6 Jobs we collect from employers' own careers pages

Some listings are collected from the employer's own public careers page. We keep the job title, employer, place, pay if stated, contract type, the link to the source, and our own short summary. We do not keep the employer's advert text. Every such listing links to the source.

These pages describe jobs, not people. Where an employer has published a contact address for hiring, we may keep it to deliver applications. If that address belongs to a named person, it is that person's personal data and they have every right described in section 9.

An employer can have a listing removed or corrected within 2 working days, either by writing to holacourtduty@gmail.com or with the "Is this your job? Correct or remove it" form on the job page. That form asks for a name, a work email and a message; we keep them with the request so we can act and answer. When a listing is removed, its page stops existing at once and that job is never collected again.

When a job closes for any other reason, its page stays for 30 days marked as closed, with no apply button, and then stops existing.

2.7 When you click through to an employer's site

Links from our job pages to an employer's site pass through a short counter. We record the job, the employer, the date, the country your connection came from and the source tag of the link that first brought you to us, if it had one. We record nothing that identifies you: no IP address, no cookie, no account.

The link carries a tag saying the visit came from Court Duty (for example utm_source=courtduty), so the employer can see that in its own reports. The employer's site has its own privacy notice. Some clubs ask candidates to write to them on WhatsApp: then the button opens a WhatsApp chat with the club, and what you write goes to the club and to WhatsApp (Meta), not to us.

2.8 When you visit the site

  • We set no cookies. None for language, none for analytics, none for advertising. The language of a page comes from its address (/jobs is English, /es/empleos is Spanish).
  • Your browser tab keeps four small notes for itself, which are gone when you close the tab: that you closed the line offering the other language; where you were on the "Match me" page so the back button works; the facts read from your CV in "Match me" (2.3), removed as soon as you save your profile; and the source tag of the link that brought you (the utm_source word in the address, for example "instagram"), if it had one. Only the last is sent to us, and only with a form you send or an apply button you press.
  • We count visits in totals only. For each day we add one to a counter for: the kind of page, its language, whether it loaded, and where the visit came from as a broad group (for example "google", "social", "direct") or which known crawler it was. We store no IP address, no user agent, no page address and nothing per visitor. Nobody can be picked out of these totals.
  • Nothing on our pages is loaded from another company. Fonts and scripts come from our own site. No request goes from your browser to Google or any other third party.
  • Sharing and the club kit. The share buttons only build a WhatsApp message or copy a link on your device; we record nothing about who shares what. The picture and QR code in the club kit are drawn in your own browser; nothing is uploaded to us.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site, handles your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver pages and stop attacks, as any web host does.

2.9 When you write to us

We keep your message and our reply, to answer you and to keep a record of requests (for example, a deletion or a take-down and the time we completed it).

3. The legal basis for each use

This section follows the EU and UK data protection rules (GDPR and UK GDPR).

UseLegal basis
Sending your application and CV to the club you chose, and keeping them on its panel until 14 days after the job closesYour consent, given by ticking "Send my application to (club)"
Showing your WhatsApp number to that clubYour consent, given with its own box on the application
Emailing you similar jobs or new matchesYour consent, given with its own box. Withdraw it with the link in any email
Reading your CV with an AI model in "Match me"Your consent, given by choosing the file and pressing the button
Saving your profile, with the optional facts you addYour consent, given by ticking the box; you can change or delete it on your private profile page
Publishing a club's job and taking paymentContract with the club
Keeping payment records, once card payment is switched onLegal obligation (tax and accounting law)
Counting clicks, applications and visits in totals that identify nobody; keeping the site secure; spotting automated sign-upsLegitimate interest: running a working, honest service
Listing jobs from employers' public careers pages, with any hiring contact the employer publishedLegitimate interest: making public vacancies easier to find. Anyone can object and be removed within 2 working days
Emailing a club about a real application to its vacancyLegitimate interest. Every such email says how to stop
Keeping a short record that you asked us to delete data or stop contactLegal obligation and legitimate interest: to prove we did it

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect what was done before you withdrew.

4. Who handles data for us

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for advertising. These companies process data on our instructions:

CompanyWhat it does for usWhat it handles
Cloudflare (United States)Hosts the site, the database and the private file storage for CVs sent with applications (Cloudflare Pages, D1 and KV)Everything in section 2, plus your IP address while it serves you
Cloudflare Workers AIRuns the AI model that reads CVs and job advertsThe CV text or advert text, for the time it takes to answer. See section 6
Stripe (United States)Card payments from clubs. Not switched on yetThe paying club's email, the amount and card details. We never receive the card number
Resend (United States)Sends our emails: confirmations, applications to clubs, job emails. Not switched on yetEmail addresses and the content of those emails
Google (Gmail, United States)Holds our contact mailboxThe messages you write to us and our replies

And one recipient that acts on its own account:

  • The club you apply to receives your application. It is responsible for its own copy.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to defend a legal claim.

5. Transfers outside your country

Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend and Google are companies with headquarters in the United States, and they may process data in several countries. Clubs on Court Duty are in many countries; when you apply to a club abroad, your application goes to that country because you asked for it.

Where data from the EU or UK goes to a country without an equivalent level of protection, we rely on the tools the law provides: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the provider is certified, and standard contractual clauses otherwise. Ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards at holacourtduty@gmail.com.

6. AI, said plainly

6.1 The AI we use

We use an AI language model that runs on Cloudflare's own infrastructure (Workers AI). We use it for two jobs only.

Reading your CV in "Match me" (not the CV you send with an application: no AI reads that one).

  • The model receives the text of your CV (up to about 12,000 characters) once and returns a short list of facts: a one-line description without your name, sports, kinds of role, years of experience, languages, certifications, country and whether you seem open to moving.
  • The CV file and its text are not stored by us. Only the extracted facts are kept, and only if you ask us to save your profile.
  • The facts can be wrong. The model can miss a certificate or miscount years. What you tell us in the form always wins over what the model reads.
  • The list of matches is automatic and shown only to you. We show no score. A job may be labelled "Strong match" when your CV meets something the advert asks for. It decides nothing about you: no club sees the list, and no club decision is made by our software. People at the club decide who they talk to and hire.
  • If the model cannot read your CV, the page says so and uses only your answers.
  • Please do not put health details, ID numbers or other sensitive information in a CV you upload. We do not need them.

Filling the Post a job form. If you paste or upload an advert on Post a job, an AI model reads it once to fill the form; the file is not kept (2.5).

Summarising job adverts.

  • The model reads the advert text (written by the club, or found on the employer's public careers page) and writes a short summary in our own words: what the job is, duties, requirements, pay, hours, perks.
  • Summaries are automatic and may contain mistakes. The link to the employer's own page is the authority. If a summary is wrong, tell us and we correct or remove it within 2 working days.

We do not use your CV to train any model.

6.2 Other companies' AI reading our public pages

We allow search engines and AI companies to read our public pages, both to answer people's questions and to train their models. We chose this so that jobs in racket clubs are easy to find wherever people look.

What that covers: job pages (title, employer, place, pay, our summary), the lists of jobs, and our numbers page.

What it never covers: your application, your saved profile, your email address, your CV or the facts read from it. None of these is ever on a public page, and the addresses of our forms and private pages are closed to crawlers.

If you are a named contact in a job advert and do not want that page read by anyone, ask us to remove it (section 9).

6.3 Our numbers are open

The daily numbers on our data page (how many jobs are open, by sport, country and kind of role) are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0): anyone may reuse them, with credit to Court Duty. They are counts of jobs. They contain no personal data.

7. How long we keep it

A clean-up runs every night and deletes by these rules:

DataHow long
Applications made on our page, with their CVs14 days after the job closes, then deleted; only a count stays. Sooner, within 2 working days, if you ask
Applications from before the club panel (14 Oct 2026)Never confirmed by email: 7 days. Any other: 12 months from the date you applied. Then deleted
"Jobs like this" and pre-launch sign-ups12 months from the date you signed up, then deleted. Sooner if you press "stop" in any email: deleted at the next nightly clean-up
Saved "Match me" profile12 months from the last time you saved it, then deleted. Sooner if you press "stop" in an email: deleted at the next nightly clean-up. At once if you delete it on your profile page. Pausing keeps it
A CV given to "Match me"Not kept at all
A club's job saved but never paid for30 days, then deleted
"Have an advert already?": the advert, file or answerNot kept at all
"Have an advert already?": the hashed count of triesThat day only; deleted in the nightly clean-up after it
"Have an advert already?": one row per try, no contentKept. It identifies nobody
A club's live or closed job, with its advert text and application addressWhile the job is live and for our records after it closes
Totals of clicks, applications and visitsKept. They identify nobody
Payment recordsNone exist: card payment is not switched on. This line will say how long they are kept before the first payment is taken
Messages to us, requests sent with the "Correct or remove it" form, and the log of deletion and take-down requests3 years

Ask us to delete and we do it within 2 working days. Two honest limits: we keep daily backup copies of the database for 30 days, after which each copy is deleted, so your data leaves the last backup 30 days after we delete it; and a club that already received your application has its own copy, which we ask it to delete but cannot delete ourselves.

8. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection. The database is not public. A club's application address is shown on the site only when that club ticked the box to show it. Only the people who run Court Duty can see applicant data, and only to deliver the service or answer you. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach puts you at risk we will tell you and the authority as the law requires.

9. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • see the data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • stop a use you object to, including any direct emails;
  • restrict our use while a question is being settled;
  • receive your data in a form you can take elsewhere;
  • withdraw consent you gave.

How: if you have a saved profile, your private profile page (2.3) lets you change, pause or delete it yourself, at once. For anything else, write to holacourtduty@gmail.com from the email address you used with us. That is how we know it is you. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the original one. To stop job emails you can also use the link in any of them.

How fast: deletion and take-downs within 2 working days of your message reaching us. Working days are Monday to Friday; we do not read the mailbox at weekends yet. Everything else as soon as we can and within one month at most. Stopping job emails with the link in an email works at once, any day.

It costs nothing.

If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the data protection authority of your own country. In Spain it is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We would like the chance to put it right first.

10. Children

Court Duty is for people of working age. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we delete them.

11. Changes to this notice

If we change how we use data, we change this page and its date. If the change matters to you (a new purpose, a new company handling your data), we email the people on our lists before it takes effect.
